We are an active member of several key global trade associations for packaging, manufacturing, inks, date coding, and labeling. As such we regularly participate in events and conferences all over the world, contributing insight, research, and first-hand experience to help foster improvements to the global manufacturing landscape.
In 2021 Carl Haycock, Domino’s UK Operations Director, was appointed Vice Chair for the East of England Regional Advisory Board of Make UK – the association representing UK manufacturers, and influencing policy-making at local, national, and international levels.
Domino Printing Sciences’ Global Account Director – Multi-National Accounts & OEMs, Tim Paul, became Chairman of the UK’s Processing & Packaging Machinery Trade Association (PPMA) in December 2018.
As a member of the European Printing Inks Association (EuPIA) since 2008, Domino has contributed to its working groups. Domino also provided expertise in the formulation of its Good Manufacturing Practices: Printing Inks for Food Contact Materials.
In line with our commitment to enabling manufacturers to achieve more, safely and cost-effectively, Domino UK is also a member of GS1 – the association that underpins global standards for business communication through its data management of the unique numbers used in barcodes.
Domino’s Digital Printing Solutions division is a member of FINAT, the European association for the self-adhesive label industry, and FEFCO - The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers.
Our membership of the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Manufacturing gives our teams access to the institution’s world-leading research facilities, as well as access to its insight into materials, inks, and technology. Similarly, our membership of the UK Campden BRI gives Domino access to the scientific, technical, and advisory services needed to ensure product safety and quality, process efficiency and product and process innovation.
Domino UK is also a member of the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) trade association and is committed to working together with other key actors in the printing industry, to explore options for growth and development. In addition to this, Domino is a member of British Coatings Federation (BCF) the trade association providing expertise and on issues affecting the coatings and ink industries in the UK, and a key source of regulatory information, sourcing information and training. As an accredited member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Domino is also in a position to develop and accredit staff as professional chemists.
