Domino Printing Sciences highlights serialisation solutions for Tobacco
Serialisation specialists at Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) have developed a unique coding solution for Tobacco manufacturers adapting to new Track & Trace legislation – helping to protect product reputation and combat illicit trade.
The Domino Cigarette Pack Coding Station, which is now installed with all Domino’s major Tobacco MNC customers, incorporates twin D-Series i-Tech lasers and Domino Vision Control System to provide a turnkey solution for coding on both soft and hard packs.
“The Cigarette Pack Coding Station was developed to address the needs of customers facing the new challenges of serialisation, driven by Track & Trace legislation,” says James Cutforth, Head of Global Tobacco Solutions at Domino. “It provides the ultimate solution for cigarette manufacturers wishing to implement Unique Product Identification as part of a Track & Trace system.”
Domino will use TABEXPO 2019 as a platform to demonstrate the coding system and highlight the numerous solutions they can deliver for Tobacco manufacturers. Hosted at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam from 12 – 14 November, TABEXPO 2019 is a great opportunity to view the latest innovations and discover where the Tobacco industry is headed.
“This event is the perfect place for us to showcase the Domino solutions that have been developed,” continues Cutforth. “With over 2,500 global installations of our Domino D-Series i-Tech laser systems, this provides testimony that our proven and reliable technology is trusted by customers around the world.”
As well as the Cigarette Pack Coding Station, Domino will also be exhibiting its M-Series Print & Apply system, widely used for bundle & master case labelling, and the G-Series Thermal Inkjet, an ideal solution for display carton coding. All of Domino’s products are compatible with serialisation systems deployed around the world.
Cutforth concludes: “The Domino team look forward to welcoming visitors at Booth 70 to discuss how our solutions can be used for Track & Trace requirements and demonstrate our team’s vast experience in this field.”
