About the role
We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist to join our Digital Printing Solutions team, to support the rollout of the latest generation of digital inkjet colour label printers. You will be working within a small team of product specialists, to carry out product support, validation and research and development. As part of this role some of your key tasks will be:
- Work with Domino product installation and support teams in Europe, USA and Asia, to ensure that their technical competency for newly released products is sufficient to allow them to successfully install and provide ongoing customer support and service.
- Work with technical helpdesk support team to ensure timely resolution for customer technical issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and fault finding both in house in Domino UK R&D facilities and at customer sites, to prevent product reliability issues and minimise warranty failures.
- Responsible for the validation, documentation and field support for new product enhancements.
About You
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working in a technical support or R&D validation role and dealing with customers, experience within inkjet is advantageous. You’ll be an excellent communicator, internally as well as with our customers and be able to deal with and solve complex technical issues and be able to demonstrate a competency in electrical and mechanical fault finding in time critical environments.
Experience working with high voltage electrical machinery, web fed media transport systems and PLC control software as well as fluid control/recirculating ink systems would be advantageous.
